DEMO DERBY 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION
This movie played on more than 6,000 screens across the U.S.A. with The Beatles' Hard Day's Night. Of James A. Pike's Demo Derby, the reviewer for the Boston Globe reported, "If the old Romans had been able to photograph the audiences arriving in the arena to bait the gladiators, they might have come up with the same faces one sees in 'Demo Derby,' locally-made production. One of the cars is burned to a crisp and the others look as if they had been in a five-car collision on the Fourth of July . . . Producer Jim Pike has come up with a remarkable film which is one of the most galvanic impressions of modern life and teenage recreation I have ever seen on the screen."

Includes Theatrical Trailer and Interview with filmmaker James A. Pike.

HANDBOOK FOR AMERICA: A 21ST CENTURY GUIDE TO THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
by Herman Velarde with Travis E. Pike
Most books about education address the tip of the iceberg, ignoring the greater issues hidden in the depths of our overstressed society. Retired Los Angeles Unified School District guidance counselor and truant officer, Herman Velarde's work in the communities, seeking out truants and their parents, convinced him the most intractable individuals lacked a basic understanding of the American social contract and before the neighborhoods and their schools can be improved that must be remedied.

In Handbook for America, Mr. Velarde addresses these issues head on, presenting his proven approach to enhancing learning skills and community relations for all public, private and home-schooled students, dropouts of all ages and anyone else seeking a socially responsible avenue to success. His insights and exercises are fresh and vital, not just for our native-born sons and daughters, but for anyone striving to succeed in the United States of America.

VOLUNTEERS FOR VERDI
A New Playwrights Foundation Production written and produced by
Travis Edward Pike and Jo Christensen, directed by Jo Christensen

At the northernmost border of Los Angeles' Chinatown, Casa Italiana is home to as eclectic a crowd as ever appeared in a Hollywood movie. Drawn together by unflagging passion, dreadful tenacity, and the notion that opera goes down better with a plate of spaghetti, these VOLUNTEERS FOR VERDI embody the rich cultural mix in Southern California, where America's melting pot continues to bubble and individual dreams may and do come true, even into the twilight years.

This independent production won two Certificates for Creative Excellence at the 2006 US International Film and Video Awards, one in the category Arts: Performing Arts, and the other in the category Documentary: 60:09 - 90:00.
